What grades are offered by AdvitCare Academy?

We serve students in grades K-12! From Kindergarten to High School.

What subjects will students study at AdvitCare Academy?

English/language arts, math, science and history are core courses that all students must do to get far educationally in today's world, at AdvitCare Academy, from grades k-12, these subjects are mandatory. There are also other courses in teh appropriate grade levels. Our curriculum is designed to cover subjects and information we consider important. High school students also have access to optional AP courses as well as other electives! Middle school and high school students can get ahead with career-focussed electives through our curriculum. Higher education students have many choices ranging from industry courses, higher education diplomas, associates degrees or bachelors degrees in a range of subjects. Does AdvitCare Academy provide textbooks and other instructional materials?

Yes! We provide textbooks and instructional materials as part of the program. These books and materials are sent to students direction, digitally AND physically! A computer and internet access are required to complete the online courses. Based on financial needs and eligibility, AdvitCare Academy may loan a computer system (including laptop, and software [printer for college students]) to support the learning process. What does it cost to attend AdvitCare Academy?

AdvitCare Academy cost 0$! We provide all our courses, enrollment, facilities, equipment and more by being funded by the AdvitCare Organization.

Can students work at their own pace?

Elementary, middle school and high school students complete lessons and asynchronous sessions, and are expected quizzes, exams and other assignments in a timely manner and according to the deadlines they have. Other non-Class Care studying and lessons can be done at their own pace.

Higher Education students TEND to prefer going at their own pace, however, exams and other assignments deadlines are all fixed. Lessons are all at the pace of the student to ensure stress-free learning.

What happens if students complete a course mid-year?

Teachers and tutors work closely with students to help pace the curriculum and meet each student's goals for advancement!

How much time will students spend online?

In the younger levels and grades, many of our online lessons include offline work. Students in grades k-12 spend about 30% to 50% of their class time on the computer, which students in Higher Education spend about 50% to 60% of their time on the computer. We promote screen time for middle schoolers, higher schoolers and higher education students that will block access to the Online Learning Sessions to ensure they take breaks! Students also do hands-on science experiments, read novels and complete math problems that are done without the computer!

We beleive firmly in a balanced approach toward education. In today's world, computers and electronics are a must and whelp us provide you with effective assessment, planning and time-management tools. Computers also act as powerful teaching tools that can motivate, stimulate and inform students about the world around them. They do not, however, replace a solid education. Rather, they help and ensure the education facilitated! That's why we use a unique multimedia approach that also includes traditional books, workbooks and instructional materials.

Do you provide curriculum for students with special needs?

Depending on a child's IEP (Individualized Education Program), we can tailor instructions to meet the needs of the student. To discuss your child's needs with us, please contact our office and we will put you in touch with our Special Education Team.

Can you accommodate the accelerated learning needs of advanced learners?

AdvitCare Academy is flexible to meet all learners levels where they are in any given subject and take them where they want to go from there. Our teachers will work directly with parents and students to ensure proper placement into their curriculum.

How do students interact socially?

Students spend time with classmates through our interactive servers on Discord, Instagram and our website student chat! Students can also participate in school and national clubs to connect with peers who share similar interests as them.

What is AdvitCare Academy's policy on bullying and harassment?

AdvitCare Academy has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment and any form of discrimination. We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for every student. Any reported incident is taken very seriously and addressed immediately and thoroughly by our administration. Our goal is to ensure all students feel secure and supported, whether they are learning online or in person.

What happens if a student needs to miss a class?

We understand that students may occasionally need to miss a class due to illness or other important commitments. For our online classes, sessions are often recorded and available for students to watch later, ensuring they don't fall behind on the material. For in-person classes, we encourage parents to notify the school office in advance. Teachers will work with the student to provide any missed assignments and materials to help them catch up.

What documents do we need to provide for enrollment?

To complete the enrollment process, students/families will typically need to provide the following documents:

  • Proof of identity/age (e.g., birth certificate)

  • Previous academic records or transcripts (if any)

  • Proof of residency

  • Completed enrollment application form

  • Any relevant medical information or immunization records

Specific requirements may vary slightly depending on the program and the student's grade level. Our admissions team will provide a detailed checklist to guide you through the process.

Is AdvitCare Academy a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ students?

Absolutely! We are dedicated to fostering an environment where every student, including those who identify as LGBTQ+, feels safe, valued and respected. Our policies, curriculum and staff training are designed to be inclusive and affirming of all identities. We have a non-discrimination policy that explicitly includes gender identity and sexual orientation, and we strive to create a community where diversity is celebrated.

How does the Academy handle specific student needs or disciplinary issues?

We approach every student's situation with care and a focus on positive outcomes. For academic or personal challenges, our support staff, including counselors and academic advisors, work directly with students and/or families to create a supportive plan. For disciplinary issues, we follow a clear and fair process that emphasizes restorative practices and learning, rather than purely punitive measures. Our goal is always to help students grow and succeed.

Is in-person schooling an option at AdvitCare Academy?

Yes, it is! While we are proud of our robust online programs, we also offer in-person learning options. We believe in providing flexible educational pathways to meet the diverse needs of our families. You can choose the format of online, in-person or even a hybrid model, that works best for your student's learning style and your family's circumstances.

For our College students, we have a campus in New Mexico where we provide housing and in-person classes!
