Whether you are a student (young or adult) or a parent, finding effective strategies for staying on track is crucial. In this post we will share some tips for managing your time, staying focused and fostering a productive work environment at home, on the road and much more!

Stay Motivated and Organized in e-Class

CREATING A DEDICATED STUDY SPACE

A crucial step to help you thrive in an online environment is setting up a study space. Having a specific area or areas that you learn in will help minimize distractions and signals your brain that it is time to focus. Find an area you are comfortable with, that can maintain quiet sometimes and keep it organized. Only keep school related materials there and keep devices out of reach unless they are a MUST for your lessons. Relying on a consistent study space will ensure you are mentally ready to transition into "school mode" and ensure you remain focused.

USE A CALENDAR TO STAY ON TRACK

Staying organized is also a crucial factor in e-learning. A calendar is a helpful tool that will ensure you stay on track and keep up with deadlines. If you set up a digital calendar, or use the Academy calendar, you can set reminders for due dates, set aside study time and much more! Having all your important dates in one place can help you plan and avoid rushing at the last minute. Syncing calendars are beneficial.

FOCUS ON TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS

When learning online, it's incredibly easy to get distracted by things like social media, the TV, games, chores and other surrounding distractions. Time management is a must for staying focussed and productive. Setting clear goals during school days can help keep you accountable. Whether it's completing a certain number of assignments or mastering a lesson, having a goal can help keep you on track. Each day, list the most important tasks that need to be completed. Tracking and tackling these first will make the rest of your work feel more manageable.
