We know how hard our youth work during the week. Whether they are attending Advitcare Academy full-time, participating in our after-school lessons, utilizing our homeschooling resources, or engaging in our virtual student counseling— we see the dedication and effort they put in every single day.
Because mental health and well-being are just as important as academic success, we are thrilled to announce a initiative designed to give our students a well-deserved break.
What is a Saturday Excursion?
These excursions are designed as a pure "mental escape" for our youth! It's a structured chance to step away from screens and studies, get outdoors, socialize and simply have fun in a low-stress environment. Building lifelong friendships outside the virtual classroom.
DESTINATIONS
Every non-holiday Saturday, we host group outings at fun and relaxing locations. Because our student body is global, we run simultaneous excursions in our two major hubs: Albuquerque, New Mexico and Kyoto, Japan!
Albuquerque, NM Destinations
ABQ BioPark Zoo: Discover exotic animals and learn about global conservation right in Albuquerque.
Local Parks: Outdoor games, fresh air and massive picnics. We utilize various beautiful parks across the city for ultimate relaxation.
Amusement Parks: Rollercoasters, arcade games and amazing snacks! We plan special trips to local amusement centers for high-energy fun.
Mall Excursions: Window shopping, food court lunches and just hanging out with friends in a safe, climate-controlled environment.
Kyoto, Japan Destinations
Kyoto City Zoo: Located near the beautiful Okazaki Park, students can enjoy a relaxed day visiting global wildlife and local gardens.
Arashiyama Bamboo Grove: A true mental escape. Walking through the towering green bamboo stalks is one of the most peaceful experiences in Japan.
Kyoto Botanical Gardens: Wide open spaces perfect for our large group picnics, frisbee, and relaxing under vast arrays of seasonal flowers.
Aeon Mall Excursions: Exploring multi-level arcades, shopping for local trends, and enjoying incredible Japanese food court cuisine with friends.
